The highest standards create the highest goals for St. Mark Catholic School students. The curriculum includes an exemplary foundation in religion, language arts, Saxon phonics, mathematics, social studies, science, technology, music, art, and physical education.

In addition to the core curriculum, middle school students enjoy the opportunity to select exploratory electives ranging from Spanish and journalism to physics and speech.

The success of St. Mark Catholic School relies on the excellence in education standards of the entire faculty and staff. St. Mark faculty members are selected for their qualifications and expertise in their teaching fields, as well as for their commitment to effective instructional styles and focuse on literacy based learning. Staff members of St. Mark have been recognized and awarded on local, regional, and national levels for their excellence in teaching and for their innovative instructional programs. The faculty boasts a very low turnover rate. 

All students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities, as these activities are an extension of the classroom environment, reinforcing concepts of success, desire, integrity, and perseverance.

Students have an opportunity to participate in math club, chess club, book club, national Math Fax competitions, spelling and geography bees, Scholastic Art and Writing competitions, science fairs, speech tournaments, Diocesan summer enrichment programs (DECATS), the Duke University Talent Search, and the Private School Interscholastic Association Academic Competition.
