The Athletics Department of St. Mark Catholic School is a vital part of the total educational system. The goal of the Athletics Department is to develop the talents of young men and women through competitive athletics while maintaining a strong sense of Christian morality. Emphasis is placed on development of the whole child rather than on the score.
Student athletes in grades 5th-8th compete in the Dallas Parochial League. Through this league St. Mark offers the following sports:
Fall Sports
August-November: Cheerleading, Cross Country, Football, Swimming, and Volleyball
Winter Sports
January – March: Basketball
Spring Sports
March – May: Baseball, Softball, Soccer & Futsal, Track & Field, and a Golf Tournament
To participate in athletics, please do the following:
Register online for your sport BEFORE the deadline. Registration information will be sent out via email, posted on the school's social media accounts, and published in the school's newsletter.
Have the DPL Sports Physical form completed by a doctor before the first day of practices. This physical will be uploaded into your Doodlio account. Please do not email copies.
Be familiar with the St. Mark Athletic Handbooks, Uniform policy and Parent Code of Conduct.
St. Mark requires all student-athletes to maintain acceptable grades and satisfactory behavior. Eligibility policies can be found in the handbook.
Students in the lower grades are also encouraged to build community through athletics. While St. Mark Catholic School does not offer athletic teams before fifth grade, many parents and students will form teams and play in area recreational leagues.
